Elections

  • General Elections

    General Elections are held once a year in the Fall Semester. When running the General Election, you are running for a seat under your respective school. All elections last two weeks total. Info Sessions are held for each election.

    Nomination/Intent-to-Run Period - Interested students fill out an Intent-to-Run form to express their interest in running for Senator

    Voting Period - Candidates must obtain votes from 2.5% of students in their respective schools via form in order to be elected

    Results - Results are emailed out

  • Vacancy Elections

    Vacancy Elections are usually held at least once each semester. When running in the Vacancy, you are running for an At-Large seat in the SGA.

    Nomination/Intent-to-Run Period - Interested students fill out an Intent-to-Run form to express their interest in running for Senator

    Voting Period - Candidates must collect a minimum of 50 votes from any undergraduate students via an online form in order to be elected

    Results - Results are emailed out

  • Presidential Elections

    Presidential Elections are held once a year in the Fall Semester.

    Nomination/Intent-to-Run Period - Interested students fill out an Intent-to-Run form to express their interest in running and must obtain signatures from 5% of the student body via paper form

    Meet the Candidates - A chance for the student body to meet all candidates

    Vice Presidential Debate - A debate is held before the end of the voting period, moderated by the SGA faculty advisor

    Presidential Debate - A debate is held before the end of the voting period, moderated by the SGA faculty advisor

    Voting/Campaigning Period - The Student Body votes for candidates via form

    Results - Results are emailed out to the student body
