Temporary Housing
Checking In, Billing, and Settling In
Registration opens on December 8, 2025 and closes on January 2, 2026.
Temporary housing is offered at a reduced rate of $75 per night for incoming students to aid in your transition to Stevens and search for permanent housing. Through our partnership with a local hotel, we ensure that your temporary stay is both welcoming and convenient.
Each room is single occupancy and only for the registered student. Students who have additional guests will be charged the standing hotel rate of $199 and will be required to rebook directly with the hotel.
Registration and Checking In: To secure your temporary housing at the hotel, complete the registration form at the end of this newsletter as soon as your travel is confirmed. Registration in advance is required. Your request will be reviewed to ensure it falls within the program dates - January 6, 2026 through February 1, 2026. Requests either before or after the designated program dates cannot be accommodated. Following review, you will receive a detailed email from Graduate Student Life with information on how to check-in.
The hotel staff will assist you with the check-in process upon arrival. You will not be asked for a credit card or payment method at check-in as Graduate Student Life will manage the billing process with you directly after your stay. The deadline to register for temporary housing is January 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM (EST).
Billing and Payment: At the end of the arrival services program, you will receive an email to your Stevens email with a link to the payment form. It is important to submit your payment promptly to avoid any delays or holds on your student account. Failure to submit payment will result in a hold preventing registration for Fall 2026 classes until payment is received.
Settling In: Once checked in, take time to settle into your temporary accommodation. Explore the area, and familiarize yourself with campus resources, transportation options, nearby amenities, and potential permanent housing options. Connect with fellow students at Orientation on January 14th and throughout welcome events, such as Welcome to the Flock weekend and IntroDUCKtion Days. IntroDUCKtion Days provide new students with the opportunity to socially engage, build community, and learn about the many resources at Stevens. These events will be both virtual and in-person, and students will be given the opportunity to connect through shared interests and learn about support that will benefit their college experience. Please join us on December 22, 2025 for our Webinar titled Graduate Student Engagement: Joining the Flock. This webinar will provide more information on getting involved in campus life can boost your experience, open doors to exciting opportunities, and help you find your place in the Stevens community.
Our goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and prepared for your academic journey at Stevens. Should you have any questions or need assistance during your stay, please reach out.
