About Us
Check out the SGDC Website! The Stevens Game Development Club seeks to create an environment for game developers of all skill levels to flourish. Whether you're just starting out or have been winning game jams for years, we want to give you place to learn, to explore, and to share your experiences with others. SGDC members design, create, and critique games of all kinds. Our meetings feature brainstorming sessions, technical workshops, and talks from experienced developers. We afford students opportunities to collaborate on development, playtest games, connect with the games industry, and hone/express their skills in programming, design, art, music, and more. Special events include: game jams, in which we compete to create themed games in a limited time; project showcases, where members can receive feedback on their games; tournaments where we play student-made games competitively; and most importantly learn jams, where members teach skills and techniques for designing and creating games. Several members have gone on to sell games and establish themselves in the games industry. We meet every Tuesday at 9:15PM. If you have any questions please email us at sgdc@stevens.edu
