SGA Senate Elections

The student body elects Senators to the Senate when vacancies become available and at the beginning of every academic year.

We are currently running Vacancy Elections to serve as SGA Senators for the Spring 2025 Semester.

  1. 2/4 & 2/6

    Interest Sessions

    A role as a Senator provides an opportunity to take ownership over campus impact, build upon your professional experience and skills and network with professionals. In order to get acquainted with the process, the SGA will be hosting two interest sessions on the following dates:

    - Tuesday February 4 2025, from 4:00PM - 5:00PM in Babbio 104
    - Thursday February 6 2025, from 7:30PM - 8:30PM in Babbio 122

    Intent to Run

    All candidates interested in running must complete interest form collecting info like Name, School, and Interest in SGA.
    This form is open from Feb 3 - Feb 10, 2025

  3. 2/10

    Elections Period

    Interested candidates collect votes from peers during a weeklong period.
    For this vacancy election, each candidate will need to obtain at least 50 votes from undergraduate students.
    This will be from Feb 10 - Feb 17.

  4. 2/17

    Announcements of New Senators

    Those who have enough votes will receive an email on Monday Feb 17th at 7pm informing them if they have been officially elected to Senate or not.

A Note on Election Integrity

The SGA strives to abide by the highest standard of election integrity. All election materials must be approved by the SGA’s elections committee. All candidates and community members must conduct their campaigns consistent with our community standards (outlined in Student Handbook). If you assume someone has violated the election guidelines, direct all concerns to sga@stevens.edu
