The Chinese Student Association (CSA) is an ethnic organization geared towards promoting understanding of the Chinese culture to all members of the Stevens community. Our main goal is to spread Chinese culture by sharing unique celebrations, events, and food of Chinese heritage. Join us throughout the year as we bring a taste of Chinese culture to Stevens campus through our annual events such as Little Chinatown, Dim Sum Night, and more! We encourage you to attend our bi-weekly General Body Meetings, where you'll have the opportunity to stay updated with upcoming events, learn about various aspects of the Chinese culture, take part in fun activities/games, and hang out with the CSA family! All students (Chinese or not) are welcome and are encouraged to join us as we appreciate the Chinese culture. We look forward to meeting you and hope you have a memorable time with the CSA family!

"The purpose of the Committee shall be to represent the needs and concerns of the various identities within the Stevens community, as well as to serve as an outlet for advocacy, activism, and education in relation to diversity and inclusion. The Committee shall work with Diversity Education, Student Affairs, and any other related offices/organizations to ensure that the needs of underrepresented students are being addressed, as well as to ensure Stevens Institute of Technology maintains an inclusive environment of the entire Stevens Community. They will be open to serve the need of any identity or group of identities on campus, and empower these identities through deep understandings of equity and inclusion and the cultivation of safe(r) spaces for all."

Mission
The Filipino Association of Stevens Tech (FAST) was created to promote an understanding of the Filipino culture to the Stevens Community. The main goal of this organization is to create awareness of the Filipino life, the people, and their place in the world today. In order to achieve this, FAST creates workshops, games, and a chance for networking for its members. Like many other ethnic groups, Filipinos are integrated politically, economically, and socially into the American culture. FAST workshops educate the community about the history of the Philippines, the current events within the Philippines, and trends that are part of the Filipino lifestyle. FAST is an RSO (Register Student Organization) of Stevens, but it exists more as a family than a regular RSO. It supports every member in its family from the incoming freshman to the future alumni. FAST welcomes any person who is willing to experience the Filipino life. Networking, General Body Meetings (GBMs), and game events helps its members become acclimated to each other. Freshmen receive support from upperclassmen, and all newcomers to FAST can feel the sense of family when they enter the room. FAST promotes the sense of family even further with familial dinners and the "Kuya and Ate" system, which is similar to the "Big Brother" system in other organizations. So no matter what, you can meet a new face or catch up with some old ones. If not, people can dance along in FAST or grab a bite to eat since food is definitely a big aspect of Filipino culture. When you are part of FAST, you are part of a family. FAST also develops strong leadership and encourages professionalism within the organization. It promotes cooperation among its members and requires cooperation among the FAST Board members. The people within the organization work through meetings and events to help each individual grow in order to achieve new heights for the organization. Each person is encouraged to use their own unique talents and contribute their individual abilities to strengthen themselves and the people around them. This organization will help its members get through the hard times of college. Be it through class, Co-op, or extracurricular activities, members will work together as a family to help each other grow. FAST members also learn to professionally promote themselves to outside institutions and organizations. There will be a variety of networking events where members can meet different people from various backgrounds, old and young. Here, members can meet new people and how to professionally carry themselves on their own.

Stevens is committed to providing a supportive campus environment for first-generation and/or limited income (FLI) students’ education beyond academics through involvement in educational social activities that are engaging and informative. A collaboration between multiple offices and campus leaders at Stevens, the FLI Network is the programmatic hub for educational events and opportunities for first-generation and/or limited income students. All FLI students at Stevens are encouraged to participate in the following opportunities provided and share their pride to be FLI Ducks!

At Stevens, a first-generation college student is someone whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) have not graduated from a four-year college or university. Students who self-identify as limited income may receive a Pell Grant or funding through New Jersey’s EOF program, but any student interested in these resources is welcome to participate in the FLI Network.

Stevens MSA aims to enable the Muslim community on campus to connect through communal prayers, religious celebrations, and other events. Additionally, Stevens MSA aims to engage with the broader Stevens community through service and interfaith events.

Our objectives are:
1. To be the representative voice of Muslim students, faculty, and staff who are currently or have been members of the Stevens community.

2. To organize educational and cultural events that promote awareness and understanding for the entire Stevens community and combat negative perceptions of Islam through talks, service events, workshops, and panel discussions.

3. To actively coordinate with and provide the necessary services to the Stevens Muslim community, while facilitating a sense of community for all Muslims on campus.

4. To endorse dialogue and the mutual exchange of ideas between Muslims and non-Muslims and to provide informational forums to facilitate such exchanges. We do humanitarian work for our various communities and try to create a network for Muslim and non-Muslim students on campus.

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is the largest student run organization in the world! NSBE has three objectives for its members: to excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. This year the chapter has many events planned that to fulfill this mission. We will be implementing study and mentor groups, we will be hosting an etiquette dinner and exposing high school students in Hoboken to engineering. SHPE at Stevens Institute of Technology (SHPE@SIT) was founded in 1988, by Stevens’ student, Hermes Gonzalez. Hermes established the chapter to provide a support system for Hispanics on campus. In December of 1991, the chapter was officially recognized by SHPE Inc., the national governing body. SHPE@SIT has instituted a much-needed support system for Hispanic students in engineering and science. It also has been successful in its efforts to reach out and have a positive impact on young Hispanics within the surrounding communities.

The South Asian Student Association (SASA), is a student organization at Stevens Institute of Technology that promotes South Asian culture.
