Theta Alpha has decided to focus on Life and Leadership Skills for Spring Youth Service Day in 2025. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an increased reliance on technology, and subsequently fewer extracurriculars, children have experienced reduced social interaction and a lack of activities that foster teamwork, discipline, and leadership. Because of this, Theta Alpha is dedicated to providing an engaging day of activities that build confidence, foster independence, and inspire leadership in the next generation. They plan on working with middle school-aged youth to teach practical skills like public speaking, teamwork, and decision-making, while also offering events to build creativity, communication, and critical thinking skills to prepare them for real-world challenges. Theta Alpha is committed to empowering local youth with essential life and leadership skills through engaging, hands-on workshops during this year’s Spring Youth Service Day. By leveraging the strengths of our organization and community’s role models, the youth will develop practical skills in creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, adaptability, and public speaking, fostering their minds to thrive both personally and professionally. To further inspire and support participants, LEGO activities, Mystery Box Challenges, STEM Activities, and more will be provided. In alignment with our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, we are creating an accessible and welcoming space for all youth.
